The comic industry is a saturated one, with such giants as Marvel,
DC, Image, and DarkHorse being on the tongues of most fans of the genre.
However there are others who though smaller in scale produce work just
as impressive as the aforementioned four. One such publisher is Beyond
Publishing, housed in the Caribbean Island of Barbados.
Bringing a
noticeable Caribbean flair to their works such as Offset, Hardears and
the Heartman (A folktale told to children to keep them from behaving
badly lest the Heartman come and take their hearts…I was a good
behaved child), the company has gained a dedicated following in the
region as well as internationally with orders reaching as far as Europe.

People ask us, why do we keep going? Why not pursue something else? Sometimes we even asked ourselves that question. But this week gave us a reminded. Whenever someone new sees what we do and they have genuine excitement about our product, we can’t help but think : we are doing something right.
